Beauty Time is a “UK Salon of Excellence”, having won the ultimate industry award “Professional Beauty Salon of the Year (4 rooms and over) for 3 consecutive years running from 2009 to 2011. This is the highest honour a salon can achieve – and it was the first and is still the only salon to achieve three consecutive wins in this hard-fought national award, taking Beauty Time into the history books of todays British beauty industry.
And the accolades keep coming. One of the most impressive is the respect the salon has from other salon owners. They have voted Beauty Time as one of the salons that most inspires them every year since the poll was started five years ago. This year, it was ranked fourth in the list of the top 50 most inspiring salons in the UK. Again and again, it is the “excellent standards” that are cited as making this salon the envy of its peers.

A large selection of Tea Pigs, cafitiere coffee, juice, bottles of iced water and homemade cupcakes are available as a complimentary treat, and a glass of bubbly is given with every manicure and pedicure. Everything is designed to treat you as the special customer you are. There is a loyalty card system, birthday gifts, client welcome packs, courtesy call appointment reminders and free parking in the private car park.

Maria the Owner
Maria Mason is a salon owner unlike any other. She has an unwavering passion, enthusiasm and dedication to the beauty industry, and an expertise that spans over 23 yrs.
Maria is a Vice President to the Federation of Holistic Therapist, a trailblazer for the government apprenticeships. A National Judge and speaker for the Professional Beauty Industry of 9 years, a Judge and advisor to the Hairdresser Federation for “Britain Best “
She regularly appears on TV and radio. Her work has included, taking part in a documentary for the Professional Standards Authority to raise awareness of accredited registers, which protect the public. She has appeared on TV with Alex Polizzi as a beauty advisor providing expertise on how to turn around a struggling beauty salon. With Gok Wan on “look Good Naked and with Nicky Hamilton Jones of 10 year younger as a beauty judge.
She regularly writes for trade and glossy magazines including features about her travels around the world researching holistic therapies.
Maria is one of the 10 staff, the team are the essence that make Beauty Time extraordinary. Maria continues to practice as a therapist herself, keeping a private column for her original clients who have been coming to her personally for 23 years.
Maria certainly knows a thing or two about running a successful business. The team has notched up a very impressive total of over 45 accolades and awards to date.
Maria is a highly respected businesswoman who has become a go-to guru for other salon owners and beauty industry peers.
Our policies
Booking ahead
We feel very privileged that so many of you book up to a year in advance to secure your appointments in our very busy diary. We make every effort to ensure your regular therapist is available, but should this not be possible, due to holiday commitments, your appointment will be transferred to another member of our team. In this circumstance we do try to contact clients, but occasionally this is not possible. We thank you for understanding, and please rest assured that all our therapists are trained to the very highest level.
Cancellations
Due to the increasing number of clients on our waiting list, we would kindly request at least 24 hours notice if you are unable to make your appointment. This gives us the opportunity to offer the treatment time to someone who is waiting. Charges are made for appointments cancelled within 24 hours and non-arrivals. We operate a courtesy call appointment reminder service and will endeavor to do our best to make contact with you. If you have a system to remember appointments by and prefer us not to call, please let us know. It is never pleasant to ask clients to pay full price for missed appointments, and we prefer not to do so. Please assist us wherever possible, to enable us to offer more availability to all our clients – Thank you.

We welcome new male clients, but request that an existing female client introduce you prior to your first visit.
A double treatment room
This facility is available should you wish to be treated with your partner or with a friend. Please ask for details.
Short of time
We can book two therapists for your appointment, so that you can combine a number of different therapies. For example: – facial and reflexology or manicure and pedicure. There is no extra cost for this luxury.

We are famous for our impressive selection of bespoke and exquisite gifts with many original items sourced by Maria at Beauty Time from her travel’s abroad to Bali, India and Morocco, we stock handbags, silk /cashmere scarves, jewelry and crystal perfume bottles plus many more exciting choices to treat yourself or someone special.

Gift vouchers
Beautifully presented and available for all our treatments, products or monetary value. Vouchers can be purchased at reception, or by credit card over the telephone. Vouchers are valid for six months from the date of purchase and are non-refundable. We regret that lost vouchers cannot be replaced.

We love to make your gifts look pretty and have beautiful gift bags, bows and tags, opening the gift is all part of the excitement
